Press FN+F1 to turn your laptop touchpad on/off
To configure your Touchpad, click on the Ubuntu Logo near the top-left corner, then type in "mouse". Click on the result. The touchpad settings are under "Touchpad".
Press Fn+F12 to toggle your laptop's Bluetooth adapter. If you see a Bluetooth icon in the top-right, then you have the adapter on. If not, then the adapter is off.
If you can't see the image from your webcam, or you receive a "No device found!" error when you try to use it, close all applications that can use the webcam, then press Fn+F10 to turn the camera on. Then open up a webcam application. You will now see the image from the webcam in the application.
If you're having problems with your Wireless internet connection, first try unplugging your Wireless Router or Modem for a minute or two, then plug it back in. You can also try turning the wireless internet card in your laptop off by pressing Fn+F11, waiting a minute, then pressing it again to turn it back on.
To enable HDMI Audio Output, first open a song or video with audio, and connect your HDMI cable to your computer and to the receiver. Then click on the Volume (Speaker) icon in the upper right, and click on "Sound Settings". Click on the Output Tab and click on the Digital, HDMI device for audio output. You should hear the song of video playing through the HDMI device.
Click on the Volume (Speaker) icon in the upper right, then click on "Sound Settings". Then click on the Input tab and make sure that none of the Mute boxes are checked. Then, adjust the volume until you see the "Input Level" indicator show activity that corresponds your voice.

Click on the Ubuntu logo near the upper left, then type in "additional drivers" and click on the result. After Ubuntu searches for drivers, you will be presented with a series of options. Click on "ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver" or "NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version current)", then click on "Activate". When that has finished, restart your computer for the change to take effect.
Open Ubuntu Software Center, then type "ubuntu restricted extras" into the search box. Click on the first result, then click on "Install" to install the package. Then, press Alt+F2, then copy and paste this line into the text box:
gksudo /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh
You will need to type in your password again.
